We provide high-quality fresh pineapples of the MD-2 variety, achieving total customer satisfaction, with optimal technical characteristics, including maturity, with which the fruits are marketed. The MD-2 variety planted in Cuba has developed a superior flavor that distinguishes it from similar fruits planted in other countries; the climate, the soil, among other factors made our MD-2 a unique fruit compared to other origins and more and more foreign clients are obtained. After the fruits are harvested, they are adequately processed, in accordance with the established standards, with the objective that they reach their final destination with the required quality. Pineapples are mainly used for fresh consumption and also for industrial purposes. The fruit contains sugars and vitamin C, with a very good taste and smell. As is known, the fruit is a good diuretic, antiseptic and detoxifier, among other medicinal properties.
